Manager, FP&A
AEVEX Aerospace is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team in a hybrid capacity at one of our office locations in Solana Beach, CA; Dayton, Ohio; or Tampa, FL.
This position leads budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and modeling activities to support strategic decision-making. The role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver insights, drive process improvements, and present findings to senior leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the process around developing budgets, financial forecasts, operating plans and modeling tools
- Create financial forecasts based on a solid understanding of GAAP
- Collect, combine and analyze information for the annual operating plan and forecasts
- Analyze trends and variances in all areas of operations, revenue, cost of sales, indirect expenses and capital expenditures
- Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
- Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Communicate complex matters in a comprehensible manner to a broad group
- Prepare and present monthly presentations to management team
- Implement and work with business intelligence tools and dashboard reports
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the project control teams to consolidate project and contracts revenue and cost of goods sold on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for monthly financial reporting packages.
- Support senior management and directors with in-depth analysis and ad-hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, ERP systems, budgeting systems and BI required.
- Ability to distill complex findings and concepts into key data-points and visualizations.
- Proven ability to successfully lead and manage cross-functional projects.

Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience:
- 4+ years of relevant analytical experience.
- Government contracting experience and working familiarity with government accounting and reporting systems strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing/product based experience preferred.
Security Clearance:
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$155,800 - $188,800 USD
