Contract Administrator II
The Contracts Administrator II is responsible for the full lifecycle management of a diverse portfolio of contracts, primarily in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs, with additional exposure to commercial and international agreements. This position plays a vital role in ensuring contractual compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting business growth through strategic contract execution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in DoD contracting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Functions:
- Lead or support the development and submission of contract and subcontract proposals in collaboration with Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and applicable regulations.
- Prepare and coordinate key proposal documentation including: Representations & Certifications (Reps & Certs), Intellectual Property (IP) and Data Rights Assertions, Commercial Item Determinations, Proposal Adequacy Checklists
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, such as Program Management, Security, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering; and external customers to ensure contractual compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and internal policies.
- Negotiate, draft, and administer a wide range of contractual instruments including prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, and other standard and non-standard agreements.
- Perform post-award contract administration tasks: Managing contract modifications, funding increments, and period of performance changes, Ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables
- Supporting audits and contract closeout activities
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready contract records in accordance with internal controls and external requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members; contribute to the development and improvement of departmental processes and best practices.
- Support other contract-related projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Security Clearance -Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or Top Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
- Advanced knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and government contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and think proactively, occasionally work outside of normal business hours and work well under pressure
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload in accordance with team requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint or similar file repository
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Professional Certification in Contracts Management desired -Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
Experience:
- 6+ years' minimum contract administration experience
- Must have Government contracting experience supporting DoD/military programs and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
