Contract Specialist
The Contract Specialist works with the AEVEX team of Contract professionals in support of Government contracts to ensure compliance with applicable procedures, legal requirements, and FAR/DFARS and import/export regulations. We are seeking a motivated self-starter and sharp learner to join our team. Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and organization, and understanding of general business operations.
Functions:
- Negotiates nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, proprietary information agreements, and other standard and non-standard agreements as assigned
- Completes and/or coordinates completion of supporting documentation for proposals including: Reps & Certs , IP/data rights assertions , Commercial item assertions
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders at all levels including Program Managers, Directors, Business Development, Accounting, and Security to ensure proposals and contracts comply with contract terms and conditions, public law requirements, performance requirements, as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations
- Identify risks and recommend risk mitigation for all types of contract actions
- Maintain contract documents, files and records in accordance with established policies, procedures and audit guidelines to ensure compliance throughout the procurement cycle
- Assist with additional projects and other related duties as assigned Standard

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Security Clearance-Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
- Familiar with FAR/DFARS and agency flow-downs/requirements
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, and SharePoint
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload while staying organized and maintaining excellent contract records
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- 2-4 years applicable DoD Contract Department experience
