Job Overview

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will demonstrate expertise in Aerospace recruiting. You will be responsible for implementing recruiting strategies to find and attract top talent, fill candidate pipelines, and interview potential candidates in an environment prone to surges in hiring. The right individual will exhibit the utmost care for the candidates and the internal stakeholders, closing the loop, communicating frequently, and providing concierge service to all customers, internal and external. With a strong emphasis on culture, teamwork, and excellence, recruiters at AEVEX will join a high- performing cohesive team, that utilizes top recruiting technology to bring in best-in-class talent. The right individual will demonstrate proven ability to work independently, while also effectively problem-solving within a team dynamic.

Essential Functions

  • Effectively manage a full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing and requisition management.
  • Provide sourcing and recruiting support to AEVEX for all types of open roles, with an emphasis on Engineering roles.
  • Maintain a strong network of industry contacts for potential sourcing and hiring
  • Facilitate the screening and selection process between candidates and hiring teams
  • Maintain detailed communications with managers, candidates, and stakeholders to stay apprised of status and general coordination, negotiating and closing offers, and process improvements
  • Analyze staffing trends and results for continuous improvement of our strategies and processes
  • Foster Global Inclusion and Diversity in business hiring practices
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced members of the TA team
  • Engage with military career centers, trade schools, community colleges, and universities to source candidates and generate interest in AEVEX Aerospace

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Experience recruiting and hiring individuals with high level security clearances within the Aerospace communities.
  • Aerospace or skilled labor recruitment experience
  • Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business and candidate sourcing software programs (Microsoft Office Suite, ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Clearance Jobs, Cleared Jobs, and Indeed)
  • The ability to effectively collaborate and problem-solve with others
  • Flexibility and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple assignments and competing deadlines, without sacrificing quality.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high workloads.
  • Expert level of knowledge in all full life cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence.
  • Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business software programs (spreadsheets, word-processing, and databases).
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite of applications
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where the work pace fluctuates from high to low.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities, can handle multiple assignments, and meets deadlines.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems to source, track, and measure results.

Education / Certifications

  • BA/BS or Associates, Business or HR degrees preferred, although applicants with equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 5-8 years’ experience as an in-house/corporate recruiter, talent acquisition specialist for an in hour Aerospace company preferred. Agency experience filling DoD and/or Aerospace Engineering roles will also be considered; executive search experience is preferred.

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
