Background and Needs
With a long-standing track record, Anthos Funds & Asset Management has been expanding their offering to like-minded families, endowments, and small institutions who share their investment ethos and would like to benefit from their investment track record.
As part of this offering Anthos has partnered with Bregal Private Equity Partners (BPEP), the private equity primaries, co-investment and secondary investment arm of Bregal Investments to offer access to their PE fund of funds to Anthos clients.
The Fund of Funds Team manages a portfolio of ~€5bn on behalf of clients of Anthos and Bregal focussed on primary commitments and co-investments. The 10 members investment team is based in Amsterdam, London and New York. The candidate would join the Amsterdam based team currently consisting of a senior investment professional supported by an investment analyst. The team operates a single integrated global team. Investment decisions are taken by a global investment committee.
The incoming candidate should have excellent academic credentials, preferably a master's degree in finance or economics. You should possess 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, ideally in private equity with an international firm or corporate M&A. Strong corporate finance skills, including financial modelling, are essential. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and experience with direct/co-investments and secondary investments is advantageous. Experience with investing in the US is also a plus.
The candidate reports to the Managing Partner of the team who is based in London
Key responsibilities
- Analysis, due diligence and presentation of fund investment opportunities throughout Europe North America. This will include in-depth quantitative analysis of funds including historic returns analysis, organizational analysis and manager interviews.
- Analysis, due diligence and presentation of co-investment opportunities. This will include obtaining all relevant due diligence information, and financial modelling of scenarios, and recommending a course of action.
- Monitoring and reporting of portfolio investments – both fund investments and co-investments. This will entail attending annual meetings and monitoring all fund correspondence.
- Actively contribute to our reputation as a thorough, thoughtful, value-added and “must have” LP by top-tier private equity fund managers in Western Europe and North America.

Education & Professional Qualifications
- Excellent academics, ideally a master’s degree in finance/economics
- 8 to 12 years relevant experience ideally in private equity with an international firm and/or corporate M&A
- Strong corporate finance skills including financial modelling
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Experience with direct/co-investments and secondary investments is a plus.
- Experience with investing in the US is plus
- Language skills - fluent in verbal and written English
