About the Role  
The Senior IT Operations Specialist ensures the effective delivery of IT administrative functions, focusing on asset and vendor management, technology budgeting, software licensing, information security compliance, and limited end-user support. Acting as a key contact within the Support Operations Centre, this role coordinates with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-efficient IT services.

What’s in it for you:  

Technology Asset Management 

  • Manage the full hardware/software lifecycle, procurement, and inventory tracking. 
  • Maintain records of licenses, subscriptions, warranties, and support agreements. 
  • Track IT budgets, forecasts, and expenditures in line with business priorities. 
  • Coordinate the Technology Cost Management Committee. 
  • Conduct hardware/software assessments to meet business requirements. 
  • Support cross-functional coordination of IT asset purchases and documentation. 

Vendor & Contract Management 

  • Act as primary liaison with technology vendors. 
  • Manage contracts, renewals, quotes, and service agreements. 
  • Oversee SaaS, license, and hardware support renewals. 
  • Monitor vendor SLAs and identify cost optimisation opportunities. 
  • Support infosec/vendor risk assessments and budgeting processes. 
  • Collaborate with Finance on vendor expenditure tracking. 

Support Operations Centre 

  • Participate in on-call support services. 
  • Provide onsite support (hardware/software installation, incident handling). 
  • Resolve IT service desk tickets efficiently. 
  • Manage privileged access to third-party applications. 
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes (equipment and accounts). 
  • Identify and address IT support gaps and risks proactively. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in support services. 

Process Improvement & Documentation 

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for IT operations. 
  • Streamline workflows and reduce manual processes. 
  • Document procurement approvals, vendor communications, and renewals. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives and projects. 

Information Security Framework 

  • Support the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 27001 framework. 
  • Ensure effective and auditable implementation of IT operations infosec controls. 
  • Work with the Governance and Infosec Lead to improve security posture. 
  • Participate in annual ISO 27001 audits. 
  • Identify and mitigate infosec risks. 
  • Assist with enterprise, product, and platform security incident response. 


You will be a great match if: 
 

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, asset management, or IT administration. 
  • Strong track record in IT procurement, budgeting, license compliance, and vendor coordination. 
  • Solid understanding of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800, SOC 2) and control implementation. 
  • Awareness of cybersecurity risks and experience supporting security tools and processes. 
  • Proficient in desktop support (Windows/Mac) and use of ticketing systems like Jira or ServiceNow. 
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and effective in cross-functional, multicultural team environments. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
