Ready to produce exceptional results with exceptional people?  Get in touch, we would love to get to know you.

Affinitiv is the largest provider of end-to-end, data-driven marketing and software solutions exclusively focused on the automotive customer lifecycle. Backed by 20+ years of automotive and marketing expertise, we pride ourselves on being the go-to experts in the industry. Not only do we work with over 6,500 dealerships and every major manufacturer in the country, we’re well-versed in OEM standards and the intricacies of a dealership or group’s local business.

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to support and scale our cloud data warehouse and analytics ecosystem. This role is critical to ensuring reliable data pipelines, performant reporting datasets, and seamless integration between our operational systems, third-party vendors, and reporting applications.

You will work closely with engineers, product owners, and analysts to monitor ETL processes, design aggregate datasets for BI tools, and build Snowflake stored procedures that power Angular-based reporting through APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support ETL processes moving data from on-premise or hosted servers into Snowflake
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues, including failed loads, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks
  • Design and maintain aggregate and reporting tables optimized for Tableau and Power BI dashboards
  • Create and maintain Snowflake stored procedures (GET procs) used by APIs to support Angular reporting applications
  • Optimize Snowflake performance and cost, including warehouse usage, query tuning, and table design
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from product, engineering, and analytics teams
  • Integrate third-party vendor data by reviewing technical documentation, designing ingestion processes, and validating data accuracy
  • Collaborate with application engineers to ensure data structures align with frontend and API requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, stored procedures, and integrations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
  • Proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, and stored procedures
  • Experience supporting ETL pipelines and troubleshooting data flow issues
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Experience designing data models for analytics and reporting use cases
  • Ability to read and implement third-party technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with API-driven reporting architectures
  • Familiarity with Angular or frontend-consumed APIs (understanding how data is consumed, not UI development)
  • Experience with cloud data integrations and vendor-provided data feeds
  • Knowledge of data warehousing best practices (star schemas, aggregates, performance tuning)
  • Experience working in a SaaS or analytics-heavy environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Snowflake cost optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data or analytics engineering
  • Exposure to multiple data sources (CRM, marketing platforms, operational systems)

What You’ll Work On

  • Scalable reporting datasets for executive and dealer-facing dashboards
  • Backend data logic that powers modern Angular applications
  • Real-world integrations with external vendors and data providers

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
