Vice President, Marketing

Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Marketing, this role is responsible for marketing strategy and execution for AffirmedRx. The VP of Marketing oversees comprehensive and integrated marketing campaigns, programs, and partnerships to drive organic growth across the company’s services and products. By leveraging extensive experience in the healthcare industry, the VP of Marketing will oversee client messaging for engagement and retention; campaign and program development and execution; creative development; brand management; and channel management while effectively collaborating and leveraging relationships with external partners.
What you will do:
1. Marketing and Branding Strategy:
- Lead the development of the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives are integrated into the overall business plan
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape and opportunities for growth
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan with clear objectives, target audience identification and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Drive the creation of annual and quarterly marketing plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints
- Work closely with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations on market dynamics
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the AffirmedRx, PBC brand, ensuring consistency across all channels
- Lead the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, retention and loyalty
- Support strategy development by providing analyses that support critical strategic and operational decisions – creating “what-if scenarios’ that link to strategy
- Lead media strategy and execution – including LinkedIn, partnership press releases and ongoing strategy, slide library, etc
- Analyze campaign performance data to optimize future initiatives
- Lead the company digital marketing and print marketing strategy and execution
- Lead digital and print media strategies and execution -including SEO/SEM, Social Media Marketing, programmatic, etc.
2. Partnerships and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with external partner creative teams to develop compelling brand messaging and visual elements, also leading cross-functional resources for special growth initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate brand performance, making adjustments as needed to enhance brand equity
- In partnership with executive leadership, crafts the value articulation of AffirmedRx to clients and prospects
- Own consistency and creation of all materials – internal and external, providing guidance and coaching to AffirmedRx Stewards (presentations, blog posts, case studies, surveys, “growth by partnership” initiatives, newsletter, and email campaigns)
- Work with vendor partnerships to ensure marketing and communications campaigns are executed effectively and deliver measurable results
- Collaborate with Sales, Clinical, Network, Product Development, Client Management, Implementations/Project Management, Account Management, Finance, Human Resources and all other departments to ensure marketing strategies align with other business objectives
- Manage conference and events schedule for CEO, Sales and other Stewards, including requesting speaking engagements throughout the year
- Manages branded assets and materials (welcome kits, clothing orders, brand guidelines and guides, presentations, sales sheets, and others)
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
3. Leadership & Communication:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, promoting professional growth and development
- Foster a creative, positive, and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, professional growth and knowledge sharing among stewards
- Evaluate department headcount needs and participate in the interviewing process
- Lead through influence, managing cross-functional project teams, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure project success
- Monitor and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure project plans are coordinated effectively
- Monitor program progress and performance metrics while ensuring effective communications and collaborations occur among project teams and stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and issue resolutions to keep projects on track
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements and optimizations
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; required. Advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years in senior marketing role with a focus on strategy and planning
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing campaigns
- Superior analytic expertise; talent as a strategic thinker with high-level understanding of PBM and market analysis; ability to translate information into succinct, actionable and strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clear and concise communication with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment, including an ability to build rapport with team members and among other business units. Strong orientation to team and organization success
- Superior writing skills and ability to synthesize complex information
- A proactive “can-do” attitude, along with a strong capacity for empathy, emotional intelligence, and an inherent sense of curiosity
- Professional presence; articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills; adept at active listening, reading an audience, and tailoring messages; respected by peers and managers
- Tolerance for business ambiguity; the ability to thrive under quickly changing situations; adaptable
- Solid initiative, driven self-starter; able to work independently and manage results
- Strong business acumen and creative (out of the box) thinker
- Excellent level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively. Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision
- Superior telephone etiquette and customer service skills are required, with the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues. Proficiency in the use of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, internal and external
- Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%)
