Position Summary:

The Manager, Patient Outcomes & Initiatives leads a high-performing team focused on strategic member engagement, client-driven initiatives, and operational excellence. This position oversees the execution of programs that enhance patient outcomes, optimize pharmacy benefit utilization, and advance AffirmedRx’s mission of compassionate, cost-effective care.

Success in this capacity requires a collaborative leader with a background in healthcare operations, patient advocacy, or pharmacy benefit management. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving the member experience.

Responsibilities include managing team performance, providing guidance and training, and ensuring timely and effective resolution of patient and provider inquiries.

What you will do:

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Patient Outcomes and Initiative Specialists
• Foster a culture of empathy, accountability and continuous improvement
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure team success and professional growth

Program Oversight and Execution

• Oversee the planning and execution of strategic outreach campaigns, benefit transitions, and member education initiatives
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client-specific projects, including formulary updates, cost-containment programs, and reporting deliverables
• Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and quality standards

Engagement and Collaboration

• Serve as a key liaison between internal departments (Clinical, Client Services, Operations) and external stakeholders (clients, providers, pharmacies)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align initiatives with broader organizational goals and client expectations
• Represent the team in client meetings and internal strategy sessions

Data & Performance Management

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track team performance, member engagement, and initiative outcomes
• Analyze trends and feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and operational standards

Strategic Planning & Innovation

• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Patient Outcomes & Initiatives function
• Identify emerging needs, industry trends, and best practices to enhance program effectiveness
• Lead special projects and pilot programs that support AffirmedRx’s mission and growth

 What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare, PBM, or patient advocacy roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit design, formulary management, and member engagement strategies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and healthcare data analytics
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
