THE ROLE
The Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance at AG1 is responsible for delivering mission-critical analytics and insights to leadership and key stakeholders. The Strategic Finance team is responsible for the annual budgeting process, tracking performance against budget, updating forecasts throughout the year, and preparing materials to communicate business results to the leadership team and external stakeholders. The Strategic Finance function also assists with in-depth analysis to support decision-making. Additionally, the Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance will partner closely with all levels and areas of the FP&A and Accounting teams.
Reporting to our Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, the ideal candidate for the Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance role is someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented and excited to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment. This role will support the corporate model and consolidation process to provide financial insights to support a wide-range of strategic initiatives including budgeting, forecasts, investments, new markets and products, and corporate development initiatives. This role will also be overseeing the evaluation of business performance and other key analyses that are strategic and of high importance to the leadership team. The ideal candidate will be based in the US, have a passion for health and wellness and will be intrinsically motivated as this role is 100% remote.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Closely collaborate with the Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, the finance leadership team, and the CLT to provide strategic analysis, insights, reporting, and analytics that influence business decision-making.
- Own the updates and optimization of the corporate financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and perform scenario planning.
- Own the cash forecasting process including partnering with accounting, growth finance, and supply chain finance to analyze prior performance and improve forecast accuracy.
- Support the monthly rolling forecast process, explain month to month variances in outlooks and challenge assumptions to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate within all areas of FP&A (growth, supply chain, and international etc.) and lead the consolidation of forecasts of various geographies and departments.
- Support preparing monthly business review materials including recent business performance, cash flow, and latest forecast.
- Ensure timely completion and accuracy of the financial planning cycles (Budgeting, Long Range Planning, etc.) which directly impact our overall strategy.
- Work closely with our Accounting team and in NetSuite to support the monthly close process, including accruals and variance analysis.
- Support senior leaders across the organization in tracking business performance, achieving financial forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities and quantifying them in our financial outlook.
- Support the development of BoD materials and requests from external stakeholders.
- Proactively research, analyze and resolve financial inquiries from business leaders on an ad-hoc basis.
- Load forecasts, build and manage reports in Adaptive Planning.
- Look to automate, streamline and continuously improve all FP&A processes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-4 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate development or investment banking at a high growth startup or established business.
- Experience building complex financial models (including three financial statements) from the ground up.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to switch gears in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting across all three statements, including key drivers of working capital.
- Able to work with large amounts of data and detail without losing sight of the big picture.
- Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
- You are knowledgeable in all things MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite and preferably have experience using ERPs (i.e. NetSuite) and FP&A tools (i.e. Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- You have a no-compromises approach to the quality of your work and are a team player.
- Ability to work closely with the leadership team.
- Understanding of indirect and direct cash flow, preferred.
- Experience with consumer products in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer and/or CPG highly preferred.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $100,000 - $130,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
