THE ROLE

AG1 is seeking a forward-thinking AI Strategist to lead and shape our approach to AI-driven search, SEO and creative strategies within the Acquisition and Paid Media team. This role will be responsible for leading and executing innovative strategies that leverage AI to drive performance and efficiency across our paid media campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI technologies, strong analytical skills, and a strategic mindset to craft and implement scalable programs that deliver measurable results. The AI Strategist must be adept at leveraging data to inform decisions, experimenting with new technologies and optimizing search efforts and processes. 

Reporting to the Director, Paid Media, this role will be a key member of the team, collaborating closely with Paid Media, Tech, Analytics, Customer Insights and Brand & Creative teams. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about AI and its potential to transform digital marketing. This role will have the ability to define AI-powered marketing strategies, experiment with emerging technologies and optimize current activities, ensuring they contribute to the overall growth and success of AG1.    

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead the development and execution of AI-driven digital marketing to enhance the performance and efficiency of our paid media campaigns, with a focus on SEO / AEO (answer engine optimization).
• Craft strategy to appear in AI searches across answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and more, staying at the forefront of organic and sponsored content strategies on these platforms
  Partner closely with agencies and AI platforms.
• Leverage data and AI technologies to optimize campaigns across various platforms, driving measurable improvements in key performance metrics.
• Experiment with emerging AI tools and technologies to to enhance paid media and creative efforts.
• Monitor and analyze search performance, providing actionable insights to refine and enhance strategies.
• Lead efforts to integrate AI-driven insights into the overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Share best practices, learnings and insights of AI-driven strategies within team. 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in search marketing.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and how they can optimize digital marketing, with a focus on search and answer engines.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and measurable results.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to align AI strategies to business goals.
• Experience with SEO and paid search, and familiarity with AEO and answer engines.
• Familiarity with AI-driven technologies to support paid media and creative efforts.
• Familiarity with AI Large Language Models like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and more.
• A strategic thinker with a growth mindset, always seeking new ways to innovate and optimize.
• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas and insights to stakeholders at various levels.
• A proactive and results-driven approach, with a passion for exploring and testing new AI technologies.
• Experience working with high-performing, cross functional teams and senior leaders.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $85,000 - $110,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
