THE ROLE

We are looking for a self-motivated Quality Packaging Engineer to join our Quality team. This is a 6-month contract position that is fully-remote.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist with packaging component qualifications
  • Assist with Process Mapping and Process Improvement Workflows/ Initiatives
  • Assist with artwork review from a Packaging Quality perspective and support artwork process from development to printing to ensure compliance with Quality and Manufacturing
  • Assist with conducting material selection, testing, and validation to ensure packaging meets quality and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure packaging requirements are met.
  • Support the implementation of packaging improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintain documentation related to packaging specifications, testing results, and process changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues during the production process.
  • Assist in the execution of packaging trials and pilot runs to validate new packaging designs.
  •  Maintain thorough records of packaging designs, specifications, testing results, and any process changes.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing packaging trials and pilot runs to evaluate new packaging solutions.
  • Assist in creating and optimizing packaging designs to enhance product protection, presentation, and sustainability

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in packaging engineering or a related role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in packaging design software and familiarity with packaging materials and testing methods.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct detailed cost and performance analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
