THE ROLE

AG1 is seeking a Manager, Retail Club National Accounts to spearhead our expansion within major club retailers. This high-impact role is responsible for developing and executing our AG1 commercial partnership and retail strategy, forging strong relationships with key account stakeholders, and ensuring exceptional in-store execution to maximize brand visibility and sales performance.

Reporting to the Vice President, Retail, you will lead trade marketing initiatives, negotiate high-stakes deals, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize our retail presence. The successful candidate is an experienced retail account manager who has a deep understanding of the club channel. This role requires tenacity, strong partnership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced & high-growth environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Account Management & Business Growth

  • Cultivate and manage business partnerships with national club retail accounts, to maximize AG1 brand visibility and sales growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the AG1 footprint within retail clubs across the nation.
  • Identify new business opportunities, assess competitive dynamics, and proactively address challenges to drive growth.

Retail Execution & Trade Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee all club retail marketing programs, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with retailer objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing operations, brand, creative and supply chain) to develop and launch compelling in-store activations, promotions, and displays.
  • Ensure flawless execution of product launches, seasonal promotions, and merchandising strategies at the store level.

Negotiation & Pricing Strategy

  • Flawlessly lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and promotional planning with club retail partners to ensure AG1 remains competitively positioned.
  • Monitor and optimize trade spend to maximize ROI and drive long-term profitability.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Performance Analysis

  • Leverage sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to influence the retail strategy and to optimize product performance.
  • Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership, offering actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

Market Engagement & Industry Presence

  • Travel to key retail locations and engage directly with club partners to strengthen relationships and ensure top-tier execution.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and retailer meetings to stay ahead of market trends and evolving consumer demands.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience in national account management with a high-growth CPG brand within the club retail channel, specifically with Costco, Sam’s Club, or BJ’s Wholesale.
  • A proven track record of driving sales growth and executing successful trade marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop high-impact partnerships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business plans.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and flawless execution in both marketing and retail initiatives.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and nutrition, with an understanding of the evolving consumer landscape.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $87,500 - $111,500 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
