THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing, Content & Nutrition (Europe) who is passionate about helping to build a brand through the creation of an innovative content strategy that educates, empowers and inspires consumers while driving broader cultural engagement. We are looking for a natural leader and an expert in the field of nutrition and communications. This role will provide insights and expertise to key business stakeholders, internally and externally, as it relates to nutrition, the supplement industry, diet and wellness. This role will directly ensure that localized content and nutritional education on all internal and external facing platforms is compliant according to local laws and regulations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Brand Ambassador:
- Provide education and training externally to support the needs of our subscriber base, and, internally to ensure that our teams are well versed in product knowledge, nutrition understanding, and articulation of product benefits.
- Support the Partnerships and customer-facing teams in providing copy development and signoff on health and diet-oriented content.
- Support all related digital and in-person PR opportunities on behalf of AG1 such as trade shows/podcasts/interviews/media events etc.
- Support the Partnerships team in articulating benefits to new partners/athletes/etc.
- Create approved content for partners to share with their respective audiences, that is compliant with the European local laws and regulations.
- Proactively seek out partner and network opportunities within nutrition-related communities.
- Be a "Voice of Health" within the customer lifecycle, serving as an in-house expert on health and nutritional topics and demonstrating a science-based approach to health and wellness.
Content Development:
- Build improved content across current platforms and create new content for future platforms such as blog posts, etc.
- Provide support/Q&A to customers who participate / ask questions in our Customer Happiness team, our facebook groups, through our partnership teams and other Social Media channels, in Europe.
- Create and plan nutritional content through copy, imagery, video and other content types on AG1 social platforms.
- Manage the output of content including videos and images from Vendors, external websites, bloggers and influencers to be posted on social media properties, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations around nutritional content, benefits, etc.
- Collaborate on briefs and social post ideation to ensure that content accurately reflects nutrition/supplement specificities, aligned with local regulations and compliance standards.
- Lead SEO to improve our organic ranking and search sentiment for AG1
Product Development:
- Monitor and report on nutrition industry and supplement industry trends.
- Create content for new ingredient/product launches to be used for internal training + as external resources for our Marketing and Partnerships teams, ensuring alignment with local laws and regulations around nutrition and wellness.
- Work with the Safety & Development team to understand product testing and impact on body/absorption/etc. at the ingredient level in order to build localized content for Europe.
Compliance:
- Manage all product content for Europe to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in the food and supplement industry.
- Execute content strategy for Europe with regards to formula ingredients, marketing, pricing, and nutritional data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Regularly review, develop, and adapt content for Europe, to provide our Marketing and Partnerships teams for use while interfacing internally and externally with business partners.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5-10+ years of professional experience as a nutritionist, with strong project management skills and content creation experience.
- Nutritional Science/ Science/ Food Science degree.
- Preference for individuals who are based in the UK, Ireland, or Germany.
- Background and experience of European health and regulatory best practice.
- Strong self leadership skills who enjoys leading a brand from the front.
- Must be a proficient copy writer with an astute understanding of how to communicate about ingredients and health benefits in a compliant yet engaging way.
- A proven track record in the nutrition industry with clear focus on overall holistic approach to health and wellness through nutrition/diet.
- Strong understanding of functional nutrition, biomedical sciences, microbiology (microbiome), nutrigenomics, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, adrenal and hormonal function.
- A constant finger on the pulse regarding industry trends and changes through organizational participation, self-paced learning, updated certifications etc.
- Excellent written communication with the ability to articulate a deep level of knowledge for customers, internal teams, and external agencies to understand.
- A content and customer interaction track record that demonstrates their communication style as well as knowledge and understanding of the industry.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including their respective strengths, nuances, success metrics, and relevant demographics.
- Strategy-minded and can see the full picture of how social content impacts overall goals and help provide recommendations to meet them.
- Self-starter with comprehensive knowledge of the social media and marketing landscape.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €99,000 - €126,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
