THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director, Production Studio to lead and scale our in-house production capabilities. This leader will oversee all aspects of the production pipeline—from pre-production planning through final delivery—ensuring that creative output meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency. The Senior Director will be a strategic thinker, operational executor, and team builder with a deep understanding of media production and content creation in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the production studio aligned with company goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including copywriters, proofreaders, editors, production designers, and production coordinators.
- Oversee all stages of content production: creative development, budgeting, scheduling, production, and post-production.
- Implement processes that ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand.
- Manage a diverse slate of projects including branded content, commercials, social media assets, live-action shoots, storytelling, etc.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier creative and production talent.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, creative, product, and external partners.
- Establish and optimize scalable workflows, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain high production standards, ensuring quality control across all output.
- Track and report on production OKRs and department performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies without compromising creative integrity.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive experience in design, production or related field
- Proven track record of building and leading teams in a studio/production environment
- Deep understanding of creative production processes
- Experience managing internal client relationships and agencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 10+ years experience in Production Design or related
- 10+ years of industry or related creative experience
- 8+ years experience leading and managing a team in a creative agency or internal creative group; global experience is a plus
- Expert knowledge of creative process and all digital creative software tools

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $160,000.00 - $204,000.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
