THE ROLE
As Manager, Retail Accounts & Trade Marketing (EU), you will play a critical role in expanding AG1’s presence across key retail partners by building strong customer relationships, driving distribution, and delivering consistent, profitable growth.
This role is responsible for managing strategic retail accounts while identifying opportunities to scale AG1’s retail footprint. You will partner cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure strong execution, in-stock performance, and long-term account growth. This role requires strong commercial acumen, operational excellence, and the ability to balance long-term account priorities with day-to-day execution in a fast-growing environment. Travel may be required for customer meetings, line reviews, and industry events.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Account Leadership & Retail Growth
- Manage relationships with key national retail partners and strategic accounts
- Develop and execute account plans aligned with company priorities and retail growth objectives
- Identify opportunities to expand distribution, improve placement, and drive overall account performance
- Lead preparation for line reviews, customer meetings, and new product launches in partnership with internal teams
Retail Execution & Omnichannel Management
- Manage product placement, promotional calendars, and merchandising across in-store and digital channels
- Drive execution across retailer ecosystems to ensure consistency in both physical retail and retailer.com environments
- Partner cross-functionally with Brand to implement effective retail programs and activations
- Ensure all initiatives align with brand standards, retailer requirements, and commercial objectives
Trade Marketing & Merchandising
- Manage end-to-end trade marketing execution including retail media, merchandising, POS, displays, and promotional activations
- Support in-store education initiatives to enhance shopper engagement and reinforce premium brand positioning
- Leverage shopper insights and performance analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness, velocity, and repeat purchase
- Manage trade marketing budgets and help develop scalable processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to support continued retail growth
Forecasting, Performance & Financial Managment
- Own account forecasts and monitor performance against plan
- Analyze sales, distribution, and promotional performance to identify risks and growth opportunities
- Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to maintain strong in-stock performance
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and trade investment ROI
- Maintain accountability for account-level financial performance and trade spend management
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, planning, and profitability analysis
Customer & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, merchandising teams, and ecommerce partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail accounts
- Work closely with Brand, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Finance, and Operations to align on priorities and execution
- Communicate customer needs, timelines, and risks clearly to internal stakeholders
- Help resolve operational issues quickly to support seamless execution
Market & Category Insights
- Monitor category trends, competitive activity, and retailer performance
- Use syndicated data, retailer reporting, and internal analytics to inform recommendations and business decisions
- Translate insights into actionable opportunities that support retail growth and performance
- Support AG1’s positioning as a leader within the health and wellness category
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience managing national retail accounts within CPG. Background in supplements, wellness, or premium CPG preferred
- Strong track record of launching and driving growth with large retail partners.
- Experience managing trade marketing, merchandising, and retail activation programs
- Experience developing account plans, forecasts, and promotional plans
- Strong understanding of retail buying processes, merchandising, and promotional planning
- Experience working across in store and digital retail environments
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including forecasting, trade management, and P&L ownership
- Ability to operate with a high level of ownership while partnering closely with senior stakeholders
- Experience working in highly cross functional environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high growth environment
- Experience using syndicated data, retail analytics, or similar tools
- Passion for health, wellness, and scaling a high growth consumer brand

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €60,000 - €80,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
