LAN Lead
About Us
We are looking for LAN Leads to join our team on a Local Area Network (LAN) Support Services program with our DoD customer, providing support to specific assigned geographic regions. This program will support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the LAN.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support and direct the contract network engineers within assigned region: Northeast, Central, South, and West.
- Assist Network Engineering team with equipment lifecycle planning and installation, as well as development of technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment.
- Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within the DLA enclave.
- Development of market research for new equipment and provide recommendations to Government POC.
- Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required.
- Perform lab testing of LAN equipment.
- Provide knowledge transfer to the NTS-LAN government staff.
- Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) and Government POC.
- Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects.
- Effectively task, track, monitor and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within their area of responsibility.
- Work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
- Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
- Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience including at least two projects in technical areas included in the Statement of Work. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
Clearance:
- Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Certification:
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
- Computing Environment Certification (Must have at least one of the following): CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE
Education:
- High School Diploma
Location:
- This is a remote role with some travel required within the United States (~10%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification, CCNP certification, IAT - III Certification.
