About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Graphic Designer freelancer to join our esteemed marketing agency. This role combines strong design expertise, ensuring the delivery of exceptional digital design work. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of graphic design principles, have a proven track record of creating impactful visual designs, and demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. Proficiency in still images, coloring techniques, and other digital design capabilities is essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Oversee the design process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring projects are completed within established timelines and meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to develop design strategies and creative solutions that align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Utilize your strong design skills to create visually appealing and impactful designs for a wide range of digital marketing collateral, such as social media graphics, website assets, online banners, email newsletters, infographics, and other promotional materials.
  • Set design standards and ensure consistent branding and visual identity across various digital platforms and campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, design techniques, and software tools, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team.
  • Act as a liaison between the design team and clients or internal stakeholders, effectively communicating design concepts, gathering feedback, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design assets seamlessly into digital marketing campaigns, working closely with web developers, content creators, and other relevant team members.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring their work meets quality standards and project objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding results.
  • Work closely with external vendors and suppliers to oversee the production process and ensure the final output aligns with the desired quality and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on digital design, and preferably in a leadership or managerial capacity within a marketing agency or similar environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of digital design projects, demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for aesthetics, layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, composition, balance, scale, and visual hierarchy, with a demonstrated ability to create designs that captivate and engage audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital graphic design.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media channels, and an understanding of how design can maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Experience in UX/UI design and web development principles is a plus.
  • Able to work 20 hours a week or more
