Senior Product & Delivery Manager

United States, Remote

The Role

Agile Six is looking for a Technical Product and Delivery Manager to join our agile team supporting the SimplerGrants modernization effort and the CommonGrants data standard. This role blends product ownership with delivery leadership: managing the roadmap and backlog for CommonGrants and SimplerGrants reporting/automation, translating program goals into clear priorities, and driving execution through strong sprint planning and agile cadence.

You’ll coordinate across HHS and multiple vendors, manage internal and external stakeholder relationships (including prospective adopters and open-source contributors), and keep progress, risks, dependencies, and program health visible and on track. We’re looking for someone collaborative, organized, and technically fluent — able to navigate a complex ecosystem, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and advance sustainable, accessible outcomes that support adoption of the CommonGrants standard.

The work we do is largely open source and publicly available on GitHub. You can explore the CommonGrants repository and CommonGrants.org to learn more.

Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap & Backlog: Own the product vision and roadmap for CommonGrants and SimplerGrants reporting/automation, translating program goals into a prioritized backlog of well-scoped epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Sprint Planning & Ceremonies: Lead sprint planning and facilitate core agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, reviews/demos, retros), driving healthy team flow and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Program Facilitation: Plan and facilitate cross-program meetings and in-person events with HHS and multiple vendors/workstreams to align goals, dependencies, timelines, and decisions for Grants.gov modernization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HHS, SimplerGrants vendors, partner programs) and external stakeholders (CommonGrants adopters, open-source contributors), ensuring feedback informs product direction.
  • Delivery Tracking & Program Reporting: Track delivery against roadmap and sprint goals, monitor program health signals, and provide clear progress updates, risks, and tradeoffs to support governance and expectation-setting.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Surface blockers, risks, and cross-team dependencies early; drive mitigation plans and decision points with engineers, program leads, and partners.
  • Budget & Contract Support: Track budget and burn to support timely invoicing and responsible use of contract funds; coordinate forecasts and resourcing needs with program leadership.
  • Quality, Accessibility & Sustainability: Ensure product outcomes and delivery practices reflect Agile Six values, accessibility commitments, and the long-term sustainability of the CommonGrants standard.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ of related experience, including:
    • 3+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Program Manager or similar role on projects or programs using agile methodologies
    • 5+ years of direct experience working on an agile scrum team as a Scrum Master and/or Scrum Product Owner
  • Familiarity with managing agile development projects using Github or Zenhub
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated application of Agile principles and practices
  • Ability to coach their scrum team in agile practices and support the team’s self-organization
  • Prior experience supporting newly formed teams on complex projects
  • Ability to independently remove impediments to team progress and maintain alignment and productivity across different team structures
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships and ensure smooth collaboration and alignment across multiple teams or organizations to ultimately ensure successful delivery
  • Experience recognizing and resolving complex dysfunction within teams without extensive external support
  • Has lived and worked in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years
  • Some of our clients may request or require occasional travel. If this is a concern for you, we encourage you to apply and discuss it with us at your initial interview

Additional desired qualifications

  • Experience managing the technical product roadmap for developer tools (code libraries, SDKs, CLIs, etc.)
  • Prior experience as a software or data engineer
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner Certification(s)

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
