Agile Space Technologies is seeking a passionate and driven Test Engineer to add to our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge propulsion systems for space exploration.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting test operations, conducting data analysis, and assisting in the development of propulsion systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work on projects at the forefront of aerospace technology.
Level I: Candidates should bring 0-3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong foundational skills and the ability to work independently.
Level II: Candidates with 4-6 years of experience are encouraged to apply, as they will be expected to offer advanced expertise and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in test setup, execution, and data collection for engine testing.
- Conduct data analysis and generate test reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the development and implementation of test procedures and protocols.
- Assist in troubleshooting test anomalies and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful test operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong foundation in fluid systems, thermodynamics, and instrumentation
Detail-oriented, able to follow procedures, and comfortable working safely around hazardous test systems.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations staff.
A problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment, and organizational skills to manage test data and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Background includes hands-on experience with:
Test facilities or propulsion hardware
Familiarity with data acquisition or scripting tools
Exposure to fluid handling systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, or propellants
Work Environment & Conditions:
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required while performing certain tasks:
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection (varies based on tasks)
- Safety shoes
- SCBA (respirator)

Test Engineer I: 72,600-103,100
Test Engineer II: 80,600-116,100
Occasional overtime to meet business needs
Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.
