Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within their defined North American territory.
The ideal candidate has experience in enterprise software business development, with exposure to both traditional and SaaS delivery models. Key Responsibilities
Drive Growth Through Strategic Sales
Execute targeted outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn to build and maintain a robust 3–4X sales pipeline.
Convert inbound leads through consultative discovery and value-based selling.
Deliver engaging product demonstrations and present tailored solutions that address client needs.
Manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through contract negotiation and close.
Collaborate closely with sales engineering, product management, and implementation teams to ensure client success.
Build Lasting Relationships
Engage with key stakeholders across hotels and restaurants to understand their strategic objectives.
Provide competitive intelligence and actionable customer feedback to influence product development.
Represent Agilysys at industry trade shows, events, and conferences.
Partner with marketing to refine messaging, improve campaigns, and generate qualified opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Experience
3+ years of software technology sales (SaaS) experience with a proven track record of exceeding quotas
Strong background in outbound prospecting and closing net new business
Experience with consultative, value-based selling approaches
Technical proficiency for product demonstrations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in the restaurant or hotel/resort industry
Direct experience selling POS or PMS SaaS products
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM
Compensation
We are committed to equitable pay practices. Compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience and internal alignment. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 USD
OTE: $120,000 - $150,000

Sales Development Representative
Job Description:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in the Global Marketing organization you will play a critical role in the top of our revenue funnel, bridging the gap between Marketing and Sales. Serving as the first impression of Agilysys, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging net new prospects via outbound outreach, qualifying and nurturing inbound interest, and securing impactful conversations for our Sales Executives. Success in this role means consistently generating qualified pipeline by identifying high-value opportunities, with specific goals tied to number of sales accepted opportunities, pipeline generated and contribution to revenue. With knowledge of key industry trends (guest experience, personalization, automation and AI), you will help prospects understand how connected hospitality technology, and increasingly AI, can transform how organizations serve guests and run operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation
Identify and engage net-new high-value target accounts through research-driven, personalized outreach across, using phone, email, LinkedIn, video, and other digital platforms.
Research target accounts and contacts within our Total Addressable Market (TAM) to personalize outreach and improve conversion.
Qualify inbound leads generated from our website and from other demand marketing programs using defined criteria (Ideal Customer Profile, company size, title/role, buying readiness, and other qualification criteria).
Maintain accurate records of activity and progress in Salesforce
Provide weekly reporting to leadership on call and outreach activity.
Discovery, Qualification & Handoff
Conduct discovery conversations to assess needs, pain points, buying interest and timeline
Use storytelling to explain Agilysys’s value based on the prospect’s pain points and gaps.
Deliver compelling value pitches and spark interest in a deeper evaluation.
Facilitate warm handoffs and calendar appointments for Sales Executives.
Nurturing & Engagement
Re-engage dormant or stalled prospects in coordination with Sales.
Act as a prospect concierge, sharing content, answering early questions, and maintaining momentum until sales engagement makes sense.
Support 1:1 Account-Based Marketing efforts in key verticals in coordination with Demand Marketing (email campaigns, webinars, events, etc.).
Collaboration & Tools
Work closely with Sales, Demand Marketing, and Product Marketing to align messaging and target accounts.
Conduct ongoing reviews with Sales to ensure timely progression of qualified opportunities.
Utilize a modern sales and marketing tech stack that includes: Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HighSpot, SeamlessAI, Qualified, ConnectandSell and AI-enabled prospecting tools.
Stay informed industry trends, competitive solutions, and product roadmap updates, including advancements in AI, personalization and automation.
What Success Looks Like
Consistently generate qualified pipeline aligned to target accounts and strategic priorities.
Convert inbound and outbound ABM engagement into high-quality sales opportunities.
Demonstrate strong business acumen in discovery conversations across guest experience, operations, and revenue.
Effectively communicate Agilysys’ value, including how AI and connected systems drive measurable outcomes.
Build strong alignment with Sales to accelerate opportunity conversion and pipeline velocity.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in hospitality, hotel/resort, or food service management industries.
Software or technology sales experience targeting enterprise accounts.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Essential Experience
3+ years of prior sales or business development, telemarketing, or quota-carrying sales experience.
Curiosity and ability to learn complex solutions with openness to coaching and mentoring.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets.
Creative and persuasive with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to build rapport quickly and interact with C-Suite level contacts at enterprise organizations.
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, AI and modern prospecting tools.

Sales Engineer
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Gaming Sales Engineer to join our Sales Engineering team. The successful candidate will work with customers to create and present Agilysys F&B solutions that translate software features into business benefits, solve customer needs, and maximize value for the customer. A familiarity with InfoGenesis POS is required. The Gaming Sales Engineer will help drive our mission of delivering top-notch F&B solutions that address our customers' needs and contribute to our growth and success as a company.
Your duties will include:
Product Demonstrations & Presentations
Pre-Sales Support (Requirements Gathering, Solution Definition & RFP Responses)
Company Promotion (Trade Shows & Conferences)
Define the functional and technical solutions for customers in collaboration with Product Owners, including RFI/RFP technical solutions. These solutions will cover the full range of F&B solutions.
Develop requirements documentation that clearly reflects Gaming customer needs.
Maintain sales demo environment
Requirements for success:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
3-5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or related customer-facing experience
Expert knowledge of Agilysys’ F&B Products including InfoGenesis, IG Flex, OnDemand, and KDS
Deep industry knowledge in the Casino space
Strong understanding of enterprise software principles (API, relational databases, networking, services).
Road Warrior: Over 50% travel
Secures input from all necessary stakeholders as necessary, to ensure appropriate solution is provided
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customer’s business requirements.
Opportunistically pursue and collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced
Solid understanding of hospitality business best practices.
