Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Marketing Communications to own and advance our external communications strategy for a growing SaaS company in the hospitality technology space. This role sits within the marketing leadership team and is responsible for shaping our narrative, strengthening earned media presence, and elevating both company and executive visibility.

This position goes beyond reactive PR. The ideal candidate brings strong point of view, sound judgment, and momentum—someone who can identify the right stories to tell, shape how we show up in the market, and actively influence outcomes rather than simply distribute announcements.

This role is not a technical writing or product documentation role. It is focused on industry storytelling, thought leadership, media engagement, and brand credibility.

Key Responsibilities:

External Communications
  • Own and execute the company’s external communications and PR strategy, partnering with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Shape compelling stories, angles, and points of view that position the company as a trusted industry voice
  • Proactively identify industry trends, market moments, and newsworthy narratives worth engaging
  • Actively manage agency performance, challenging direction and outcomes when coverage or results fall short
Narrative Development & Positioning
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Leadership to define and evolve the company’s story
  • Ensure consistent, aligned messaging across press, website, campaigns, launches, social media, and events
  • Translate complex business initiatives into clear, compelling narratives for external audiences
  • Help articulate the company’s role in shaping the future of hospitality technology (including emerging capabilities such as AI, where applicable)
Executive & Spokesperson Enablement
  • Build and strengthen public profiles for senior leaders
  • Develop POVs, talking points, commentary, and briefing materials for media interviews, podcasts, panels, and speaking engagements
  • Confidently guide and encourage executives to engage externally when timing and opportunity matter
  • Prepare leaders for press interactions and high-visibility moments
Content Development & Amplification (Non-Technical)
  • Create and oversee content including:
    • Press releases and corporate announcements
    • Byline articles and thought leadership
    • Website and newsroom content
    • Social media copy tied to PR initiatives
    • Light advertising and campaign messaging
  • Collaborate with social and marketing teams to amplify PR wins across owned and earned channels
  • Support executive and employee presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
Modern Communications & Advocacy
  • Expand PR efforts beyond traditional media into owned, earned, and shared channels
  • Activate customers, partners, and internal subject-matter experts as credible external advocates when appropriate
  • Partner with Demand Gen and Events teams to align PR narratives with go-to-market priorities
Measurement & Business Impact
  • Track and report on PR effectiveness, including coverage quality, reach, sentiment, and share of voice
  • Understand and articulate how communications support brand credibility, demand generation, and pipeline influence
  • Provide regular updates and insights to marketing and executive leadership

Requirements / Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field; 5–7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, SaaS, or B2B technology strongly preferred
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging by audience
  • Experience working closely with executives and influencing without formal authority
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with some ambiguity

Desired Attributes:

  • In-house communications experience at a scaling SaaS or technology company
  • Agency background supporting hospitality or B2B technology clients
  • Experience supporting narrative shifts, growth phases, or repositioning efforts
  • Exposure to emerging technology categories (e.g., AI, data platforms, automation)
  • Strong executive presence and confident decision-making style

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
