The Opportunity
Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and process transformation? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment? Agoda’s Finance Operations Excellence is seeking an Assistant Manager/Senior Specialist to help us reimagine and optimize our finance processes. You will play a key role in identifying improvement opportunities, implementing best-in-class solutions, and supporting our journey towards building a world-class finance operations center.
Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Transformation:
Analyze, design, and implement process improvements across finance operations (AP, AR, GL, payments, reconciliations, etc.) to drive efficiency, accuracy, and business value. Be comfortable in executing VSMs and Kaizens independently. Be conversant with the latest trends in process improvement leveraging AI/ML and GenAI -
Data Analysis & Insights:
Leverage data analytics to identify trends, root causes (using lean methods), and improvement opportunities. Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and process health. -
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Support and/or lead cross-functional projects with finance, product, tech and business teams independently, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and effective stakeholder communication. -
Automation & Technology Enablement:
Create macro-based solutions and/or collaborate with technology teams to automate manual processes using RPA, workflow tools, and other digital solutions. -
Documentation & Training:
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance. Be conversant with BPMN standards & tools of process documentation -
Quality & Controls:
Identify and support the implementation of internal controls and quality assurance measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Technical & Functional Skills
-
Experience with process mapping, process reengineering, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

Solid understanding of finance operations processes (OTC, PTP and RTR). Experience as a User of these processes is a plus.

Strong analytical skills; ability to work with large datasets, perform detailed root cause analysis, and generate actionable insights and improvement plans.

Skilled at creating Excel macros to automate processes is preferred

Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Familiarity with finance systems (ERP, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and automation tools (RPA, Alteryx, UiPath, etc.) is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant experience in driving improvements in finance operations

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and above certification is a must
-
Experience in a tech or e-commerce environment is an advantage.

Professional certifications (CA, PMP, CPA, etc.) are a plus.
