Our Opportunity: 

As our Staff Front-End Engineer, you will design and build AI-driven chat experiences that power Agoda’s AI Assistant, trip planning and discovery, customer support flows, and proactive recommendations. You’ll work closely with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to define, build, and scale the next generation of AI solutions that make travel planning more intuitive, personalized, and effortless for millions of customers worldwide. 

We’re looking for a visionary Front-End architect with a strong hands-on mentality — integrating innovative AI capabilities and rapidly validating ideas through experimentation. You will create measurable impact on traveler experience and business outcomes, while upholding Agoda’s standards for privacy, reliability, and the responsible use of AI.

Your Role & Impact

• Spearhead architecture and system design of Agoda’s next-gen front end systems
• Drive best-in-class performance, accessibility, and usability
• Mentor and subject-matter-expert for the FE engineering team
• Influence stakeholders in the Product and Business teams
• Set technical standards and ensure scalability

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years’ experience building and leading rich web applications at scale
• Deep mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Next, Vue)
• Portfolio of building robust, high-performance SPA/SSR front ends and core web vitals
• Strong background in team leadership, system design, and stakeholder influence
• Bonus: Experience with A/B experimentation, international exposure, or travel/e-commerce products
