About the Team

Agoda’s Global Affairs Team works on key projects to advance the organization’s critical goals on legislative and policy work, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability. Our projects guarantee Agoda continues to play a positive role in leading the industry towards the future, where sustainable travel is the norm and where customers can travel more freely. Working with Global Affairs will offer the opportunity to network, learn, and gain valuable skills at the intersection of government affairs, sustainability, and technology. You will work on aligning Agoda’s strengths with government priorities to make real positive change around the world. Through these high-priority and innovative projects, you will impact the business and the communities we operate in on a global scale.

*This role is based in Bangkok with no full-remote option, with relocation provided to successful candidate.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Manager, Strategic Engagements, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing Agoda’s government affairs agenda across strategic communications, executive engagements, and high-impact initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager for Strategic Engagements, you’ll help shape Agoda’s narrative, drive key government relationships, and lead the execution of regional programs and events partnering country leads.  

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Communications 

  • Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders by developing compelling materials for government engagements and responding to government requests.  

  • Partner with the PR Team to support the Government Affair’s communications and media activities.  

  • Ensure message alignment and consistency across markets.  

Executive Engagements 

  • Drive and coordinate high-level engagements with governments, including key meetings official visits and major events. 

  • Serve as single point of contact for Government affairs requests from the CEO office and executive leaders.   

  • Develop talking points, presentations and briefs for senior executives and leaders.  

  • Oversee the delivery of GA-led media activities and executive forums.  

Strategic Initiatives  

  • Drive innovation, leading to the design and execution of regional initiatives, collaborating across markets and aligning business priorities.  

  • Own program delivery for Agoda Impact Lab and other key programs.  

  • Design and implement SOPs for GA activities to drive scalability and innovation.   

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years’ experience in public affairs, government relations, communications, consulting, or project management; exposure to tourism, digital platforms, or international organizations is an advantage. 

  • Strong, readymade written communication skills, with experience drafting briefers, talking points, decks, and official correspondence for senior executives or public officials. 

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end, including timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination. 

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and political/cultural sensitivity when working with senior government stakeholders and C‑suite leaders across Asia. 

  • Strong organizational and operational skills, including comfort with SOP design, event logistics, and managing competing priorities across markets and domains. 

  • Proficiency with productivity and AI tools and an “ownership” mindset, comfortable with both analytical and execution-heavy work.
