Job Profile
We are looking for an Associate Manager, Consumer Public Relations to join our dynamic team within Agoda's Marketing department. In this role, you'll drive Agoda's consumer narrative through proactive storytelling and data-led campaigns, resulting in strong earned media coverage across key APAC markets. Our PR team manages around 10 markets in APAC, working with verticals and retained agencies to bring the Agoda story to life across channels and audiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling and effective press releases for distribution globally, regionally, or in specific markets.
- Identify and act on news hooks and cultural moments that create timely, relevant opportunities for Agoda in the media.
- Craft stellar executive briefs for media interviews and speaker engagements
- Analyze data to surface insights that power newsworthy stories.
- Manage retained PR agencies across multiple APAC markets, ensuring alignment with Agoda's targets, messaging, and tone of voice.
- Continuously deliver against robust KPIs, with a focus on top-tier media.
- Respond to global media inquiries and maintain the Agoda press office.
- Manage and counsel stakeholders throughout Agoda who require PR support.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum 4 years of full-time PR experience; experience in both agency and in-house settings is a strong advantage.
- Strong news sense and consumer storytelling ability, with a track record of driving coverage in lifestyle, travel, or consumer media.
- Comfortable working with data and translating numbers into narratives that journalists want to write about.
- Experience working within a matrix organisation, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience managing and optimising budgets
- Great English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to measure coverage quality and impact, and apply learnings to improve future campaigns.
- An all-round make-it-happen attitude — collaborative, proactive, and comfortable presenting to senior leaders.
Additional Skills/Attributes:
- Solid project management and organizational skills, with the talent to multi-task and prioritize while working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial and inquisitive – experience of using new technologies to improve comms output.
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, data, and dashboard exposure.
