National Sales Manager
About the Role
We are hiring a National Sales Manager to join our growing and evolving company. We are looking for an experienced freight sales leader to co-build aifleet’s Sales organization from scratch. In this role, you will be responsible for building the contract freight side of the business (our current portfolio is 20% contract / 80% spot freight).
Responsibilities
- Achieve key new customer and overall revenue targets; including primary and secondary KPIs
- Sourcing new shippers, building a pipeline of customers that meet the aifleet profile, and conducting outreach to secure meetings and bid opportunities
- Running the end to end sales process including ensuring pricing secured is at a premium to spot rates and loads are provided to the operations team
- Maintaining & growing relationships with newly acquired shippers to ensure continued and new business is secured
- Work with operations to ensure new contracts align to business capacity and team has information needed to successfully execute
- Identify opportunities to improve strategy and process including target customer profile, communications, and pricing strategy

- 5+ years of experience in a freight sales role
- Proven ability to deliver on individual KPI's and reach sales goals / quotas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- Excited to work in a fast-evolving context at a large carrier trucking company
