Job Application for AI in Finance Summer School Presented by RBC Borealis

The AI in Finance Summer School is a four-day immersive program designed for graduate students, researchers, and emerging leaders in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Hosted in Vancouver, BC, the program brings together leading researchers and industry practitioners to explore the application of AI in financial services through technical lectures, research talks, tutorials, poster sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative activities.

The program is intended for PhD candidates with experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, statistics, optimization, or related disciplines.

No prior finance experience is required.

Selection Process

Participation in the AI in Finance Summer School is limited, and applications will be reviewed by the RBC Borealis program committee. Applications are selected on a rolling basis.

Applicants selected for admission will receive an offer to attend the program and will be asked to confirm their participation within a specified timeframe. Upon confirmation, participants will receive instructions to complete registration and submit the applicable program fee. Additional information regarding accommodation, travel, and program logistics will be provided to accepted participants.

Registration Fees

Accepted participants will be offered one of the following registration options:

CAD $1,500 — Includes four nights of organizer-arranged accommodation during the program.
CAD $550 — For participants who do not require accommodation.

Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel expenses to and from Vancouver, including airfare and local transportation.

*A limited number of financial aid bursaries may be available to eligible participants. Additional details will be provided during the application process.
