
Junior/Assistant Underwriter, OneInfinity
Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Underwriter to support our growing book of Web3 insurance products; specifically Wallet and Custody, Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors and Officers (D&O), and Investment Management (IMI) policies. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly detail-oriented, and excited about technology—especially Web3, digital assets, blockchain, AI, and cybersecurity. You’ll work alongside experienced underwriters to evaluate wallet architectures, security protocols, governance practices, and the broader risk profiles of the companies behind them. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of insurance and Web3 risk assessment all within a mature start-up environment.

Responsibilities / What you’ll do
- Assist senior underwriters in reviewing and assessing applications for Wallet/Custody, PI, D&O, and IMI policies
- Analyze wallet and custody setups (e.g. cold storage, MPC, multisig, HSMs, smart contract wallets), security controls, and key management frameworks
- Conduct research and due diligence on Web3 and tech companies, including company structure, management, operations, financials, and legal/compliance posture
- Prepare internal risk summaries and support pricing and policy structuring decisions
- Communicate with brokers and clients to clarify submissions, collect documents, and resolve open questions
- Monitor and track industry trends, particularly in crypto, DeFi, cybersecurity, and AI
- Leverage AI and available tools to improve efficiency and work streams
- Contribute to underwriting guidelines, knowledge-sharing, and internal tooling
Requirements / Who we’re looking for
- 0-2 years of professional experience (recent graduates welcome)
- Bachelor's degree or above preferred, with a preference for technical fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity
- Strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
- Naturally analytical, inquisitive, and detail-focused
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Familiar with MS Office applications and good numerical skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment
Plus
- Background or internship experience in Web3, finance, insurance, cybersecurity, or computer science
- Familiarity with crypto custody models, key management systems, or smart contract risk
- Prior exposure to underwriting, due diligence, compliance, or audit processes
- Second language
