Temporary Part-Time Editorial Assistant

We are seeking a temporary part-time (25-30 hours) Editorial Assistant, reporting to the Director of Publishing Development, who will support the Publishing Team for 3 – 6 months to support parental leave coverage.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist with reviewing submissions to ensure that they adhere to the ethical standards of AIP Publishing
- Usher articles through our peer review and production systems to publication
- Liaise with our authors, editors, and organizers to provide guidance on our processes and answer queries
- Oversee administrative tasks that contribute to the success of the Conference Proceedings program as needed
Requirements:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Are detail-oriented, time-conscious and organized
- Are a Team Player
- Are flexible and adjust well to new situations
- Willing and able to learn new systems
Additional details:
$28.00 - $30.00 hourly
Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.
To be considered candidates must reside within NY, NJ, CT, MD, VA, PA, MA, RI or Washington, DC. This is a remote first plus convening opportunity.
