Are you passionate about upholding ethical standards in research? We’re looking for a Research Integrity and Ethics Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll report to the Research Integrity and Ethics Manager and play a part in ensuring compliance and promoting integrity across our journals and conference proceedings.
Your ability to stay objective and unbiased will be crucial as you manage cases of research misconduct, conduct investigations, and support policy development. You’ll also create educational resources and enhance research integrity workflows, always seeking ways to improve our processes.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Maintain a comprehensive database of research misconduct cases, tracking progress and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting systems and case management tools.
- Audit journals for compliance with peer review and research integrity best practices, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional projects to develop infrastructure and workflows that support research integrity.
- Advise editorial colleagues on policies and processes related to research integrity.
- Serve as a primary contact for ethics-related inquiries, providing guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze the research integrity landscape to build a knowledge bank for informing new policies and processes.
- Collaborate with the Research Integrity and Ethics Manager to develop and update policies and design and deliver training programs.

- Exhibit strong analytical and investigative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communicate exceptionally, both in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Exercise discretion and good judgment with highly confidential and sensitive materials.
- Have a solid understanding of the scholarly publication process.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- 2+ years of experience in academic journal publishing required (preferably within the STM disciplines).
- Familiarity with publication ethics required.

Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000
At AIPP, we offer competitive compensation based on the role, experience, and other relevant factors. Under the New York Convenience Rule, all employees, regardless of their residence in other states, will be taxed at the New York State tax rate. Employees may also have additional state-specific tax obligations depending on where they live.
