Director of Delivery Operations
Company Description
Air is the leader in Enterprise Readiness. Our mission is to establish readiness as a real-time condition that is continuously achieved. Today, a dangerous Readiness Gap exists between what the front line needs and what is delivered. Our AI-native platform, Air Enterprise Readiness, aligns development, production, delivery, and sustainment into one coordinated execution system for government agencies and industrial suppliers. By revealing true capacity, exposing real constraints, coordinating resources, and executing at the speed of operational demands, the front line gets what it needs to succeed.
Job Description
We are seeking an operational powerhouse and visionary leader to step into the role of Director of Delivery Operations. In this high-stakes leadership position, you are far more than a process manager; you are an expert in the "so what," possessing the unique ability to oversee complex SaaS implementations, structure cross-functional deployment workflows, and ensure that our national security clients derive immediate, compounding value from our platform.
To thrive at Air, you must be inherently scrappy—a self-starting operational strategist who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves alongside Engagement Managers and Implementation Engineers to solve tough client challenges. You push the boundaries of what operational execution can achieve while demanding absolute excellence across every customer touchpoint and lifecycle stage. As a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders both internally and across client accounts, you will transform complex, multi-stream delivery operations into a scalable execution system.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Own, structure, and scale the Delivery Operations organization, empowering Engagement Managers, Sales Operations, and technical teams to execute high-impact software and advisory engagements.
- Execution & Delivery Standards: Architect and refine standardized delivery playbooks, quality assurance frameworks, and resource utilization strategies to ensure project delivery consistently exceeds client expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the strategic bridge between Delivery, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Sales teams to align client workflows with product configurations and enhancements.
- Executive Advisory & Communication: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering compelling briefings, status reports, and strategic risk mitigations.
- Resource Optimization & Capacity Planning: Manage capacity planning, budgeting, and operational utilization across all active client deployments and SaaS configurations.
- Account Expansion & Value Realization: Drive adoption and persistent platform utilization by translating complex client challenges into measurable ROI and new expansion opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, International Relations, or a related quantitative/business field from a top accredited institution. Master’s or MBA preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in professional services, client delivery operations, or customer success within fast-paced enterprise software (SaaS) or technology consulting environments.
- Management Experience: 4+ years explicitly managing, mentoring, and scaling high-performing technical, analytical, or client-facing delivery teams.
- Technical & Domain Aptitude: Deep understanding of software implementation lifecycles, complex database architectures, enterprise workflows, and data analytics tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex technical architectures and operational strategies concisely to C-suite and executive decision-makers.
We firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance. If you thrive while building solutions to complex problems, are a self-starter, and are passionate about making an impact in global security, we’re eager to hear from you.
