Hours of Work: Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)

Role Summary:
The individual is responsible for the maintenance of Air North, Yukon’s Airline’s (the “Company”) aircraft and aircraft equipment in a safe and effective manner including: servicing, inspecting, repairing and monitoring of aircraft to ensure airworthiness standards are met.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft using approved tools, materials and manuals
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft system defects
- Ensure the Company’s safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Ensure work accomplished is correctly documented and recorded
- Verify parts installed onto the aircraft are properly certified, prior to installation
- Oversee the work of apprentices and providing training/guidance in order for them to become AME’s
Must haves:
- Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M2 rated License
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- A minimum of 6 months experience within the last 24 months working on M1 & M2 aircraft of which 3 months is working on M2 aircraft
- Required to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
- Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
- Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to haves:
- TC approved endorsements on aircrafts operated by the Company: B737 Classic, Next Generations aircraft and ATR 42-300/320 an asset
