Community Investment & Events Coordinator

Role Summary:

This role manages the coordination and execution of a diverse range of community and business-facing activities, helping ensure the organization is represented professionally and meaningfully across the communities it serves. The Coordinator works with community organizations, event organizers, businesses, internal teams and other partners to identify opportunities, coordinate participation and deliver successful events and initiatives. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Air North’s participation in community events, internal events, tradeshows, conferences, festivals, celebrations and other public-facing activities
  • Manage event logistics from planning through execution, including timelines, registrations, venues, booth requirements, signage, promotional materials, transportation and other event needs
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, event organizers, venues and internal departments to ensure events and activations are delivered smoothly and professionally
  • Support the planning and execution of brand activations and experiential marketing opportunities that strengthen Air North’s presence in the communities it serves
  • Attend events and tradeshows as required, providing hands-on, on-site coordination and ensuring the Air North brand is represented professionally and consistently
  • Coordinate community investment initiatives, sponsorships and partnership opportunities, ensuring commitments, deliverables and internal requirements are fulfilled
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with community organizations, event organizers, businesses, partners and other stakeholders
  • Monitor community, sponsorship and event opportunities and make recommendations that align with Air North’s organizational priorities and community presence
  • Work closely with Marketing and Social Media to identify opportunities for community stories, event content, photography, video and promotional communications
  • Track and evaluate event, sponsorship and community investment activity, including commitments, participation, outcomes and impact, and identify opportunities to improve future initiatives

Must haves:

  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating events, tradeshows, partnerships or community initiatives
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in event coordination, community investment, sponsorships, marketing or a related field
  • Experience with online, cloud-based systems and data management
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

  • Fluency in written French considered an asset
