Role Description:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for multiple aspects of the general ledger accounting function, including reconciliations, variances analysis, and assisting in the month-end close process. A successful candidate will drive change by improving accounting processes and have an ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments while ensuring the Company’s general ledger accounts maintain financial integrity. As a member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for improving current processes and collaborating closely with the CFO, Controller, Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management and external stakeholders
- Support the accounts payable function by reviewing bill coding and performing weekly pay runs
- Reviewing and reconciling corporate credit card transactions and enforcing company expense policy
- Process company payroll using inputs provided by HR
- Provide support data to the FP&A team to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
- Improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and company policies
- Perform in-depth financial analysis and assist in the flux analysis on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist management on special assignments as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on building new spreadsheets, analyzing large data sets and using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF() statements
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; proactive in seeking clarification when needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Salary Range $85-100K
