The role
Airtame is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in network engineering and AV-over-IP solutions to join our North American team You will take a leading role in ensuring multiple projects across the US reach their completion and you play a vital role in projects during different stages ranging from supporting Sales with initial conversations and proof of concept to providing white-glove service during implementation and post-sales support for selected key accounts.

In this role you will therefore have a varied day-to-day, though all centered around getting in front of the customer to provide them with best technical support, service and knowledge. Internally your role will collaborate with both our Sales and Support teams, with a focus and prioritization of commercial key opportunities.

How we envision working together

  • For this role you will need to be located in Eastern or Central timezone
  • Your role will support our clients and sales teams and you should therefore expect to travel up to 15%-25% of the month to clients, partners or tradeshows.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside our sales team to close deals and complete full rollouts of Airtame solutions within schools, universities and businesses. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Airtame products and network configuration to assist the NA sales team with proof of concepts, pre-sales engineering activities and customer engagement
  • Manage customer deployment strategy and collaborate with customers’ network & ProAV specialists to complete full rollouts of Airtame solutions.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for critical issues, including advanced troubleshooting across IP networking, wireless connectivity, AV hardware, and integrated conferencing platforms.
  • Analyze logs, network traces, and system configurations to identify root causes and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Channel field insights and technical feedback to Product and Engineering teams for continuous product improvement.


To be successful in this role:

  • 3+ years experience in Sales Engineering, Network Engineering, or AV-over-IP deployments.
  • Experience working with a wide range of customers, from SMBs to Enterprises and educational institutions.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking principles — including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, multicast, QoS.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware: Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, Aruba.
  • Service-minded and attentive to giving customers the best possible support.
  • Willing to research and learn more complex skills related to networking, system administration, and log file debugging.
  • Advantageous: Experience with or basic understanding of ITIL and SLA principles
