A Snapshot
- As the Associate Treasury Manager, Japan based in Tokyo you will report to the Associate Director, Japan (based in Tokyo). You will also work closely with the rest of the Tokyo team and global Finance team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will be responsible for assisting with the execution of new project financing loans
- You will be responsible for post-closing deal management
- You will be responsible for interfacing with bank and debt investors
Your Day to Day
- Project finance process execution: support Associate Director, Japan and other key stakeholders in managing all aspects of a new financing process including structuring and negotiation of finance documentation (including debt term sheet), engagement and preparation of various due diligence reports with 3rd party experts, communication with key advisors (including but not limited to legal and tax) and carriage of the financial close process including KYC, satisfaction of conditions precedent and settlement.
- Post-closing deal management: manage the existing loan facilities, coordinating amendments, waivers and notices in compliance with the finance documents. Proactively be involved in refinancing discussions.
- Bank/Investor relationship management: work closely with Associate Director, Japan to interface with and manage local and offshore banks and investors. Leverage knowledge of local market customs and practice to strengthen these relationships and support the ongoing management of the business and contribute to expansion of available liquidity to the business.
- Operational support: provide assistance to Operation specialist in Treasury in any required work such as cash management, risk management, and covenants management.
Requirements

5 years previous corporate treasury experience or corporate banking experience

Fundamental understanding of loan practice either on the lender side or the borrower side

Fluency both in Japanese and English (all of our loan documentation is in English)

Knowledge of structured finance will be highly valued

Knowledge of loan syndication market will be highly valued

Knowledge of property finance is plus

Exposure to international business environment

Curiosity about the data centre business
