As the Associate Director Infrastructure Reliability & Lifecycle, you will report to the Associate Vice President of Technical Operations, and work closely with the DC Operations Team and partners teams, making your mark in several ways:
You’ll make your mark by driving reliability, availability, and operational readiness across AirTrunk’s hyperscale portfolio—ensuring our infrastructure performs at its peak, sustainably and predictively.
You’ll bring deep technical expertise, strategic foresight, and a passion for operational excellence to elevate how we operate, maintain, and evolve our infrastructure. You’ll also play a lead role in shaping both Reliability Centred & Predictive maintenance programs that enable existing and future sites to achieve robust and resilient operations.
Your Day to Day
- Partner with the AVP of Technical Operations to define and deliver a multi-year reliability strategy across the Airtrunk fleet.
- Lead initiatives that improve system availability, reduce downtime, and enable predictive maintenance across sites.
- Collaborate with our customers to explore life cycle replacements and enhancements in the built environment.
- Partner with our OE team to create frameworks that ensure new builds meet performance criteria before RFS.
- Collaborate with Design, Development, and partner teams to support high-density AI operations, and ensure consistency across new builds and existing site upgrades.
- Drive cross-functional infrastructure upgrade programs that push engineering boundaries while balancing cost, complexity, and uptime.
- Partner with the Controls & Automation teams in monitoring platforms and analytics, providing early fault detection and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Integrate greater sustainability into our day-to-day operations—optimizing equipment efficiency, reducing energy waste, and extending asset life.
- Deliver internal training and updates to site operations & leadership teams on upgrades and new projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in hyperscale data centre, with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional infrastructure improvements and upgrade projects.
- Expertise in reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle planning. This includes advanced condition-based monitoring and AI tools.
- Strong understanding of operational readiness, risk mitigation, and performance optimization (PUE / WUE etc)
- Experience collaborating with design and development teams to shape scalable, future-ready infrastructure.
- Passion for sustainability and driving energy-efficient operations.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across technical and commercial domains. Ability to present to both internal and external teams and customers.
- Experience in developing and managing high performance teams.
- Ability to frame technical decisions in terms of margin, growth, and customer value
- Willingness to travel within the APAC & MEA region as required.
