A Snapshot
As the Water Delivery Program Director, APAC, you will lead the development and execution of AirTrunk’s water infrastructure strategy across both new and existing markets in the Asia-Pacific region. You will work closely with the Development, Technology, and Operations teams, making your mark in several key areas:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive delivery program for AirTrunk’s water infrastructure across APAC.
- Oversee the design, construction, connection, and commissioning of Water Connection Assets and Water Recycling Plants.
- Deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable water solutions that support the growth and performance of our hyperscale data centres.
- Build and lead a high-performing team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Your Day to Day
- Lead and grow a high performing team.
- Develop and implement water delivery strategies for effective project delivery in each region.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality across all projects.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and manage standards, scope of works, designs and specifications
- Tender and onboard vendors and contractor partners.
- Drive continual improvement programmes to ensure we are eliminating waste.
- Identify and drive value engineering opportunities and systems improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, authorities and the like.
- Manage and maintain key relationships at all levels with utilities, regulators, consultants, vendors and contractors
- Lead technical negotiations with authorities and utilities to achieve best possible project outcomes
- Prepare and manage applications, coordinate with water utilities and regulatory bodies to obtain all necessary permits and approvals required for projects delivery
- Assist and coordinate reviews with the Technology and Operations teams to ensure alignment and integration
- Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership, covering project safety, quality, time, budget, progress, authorities and risk.
- Set and manage KPI and SLA’s for our vendors.
- Manage the development of AirTrunk’s Water networks to be safe and efficient, meeting or exceeding local code requirements and industry best practice.
- Oversee the development of the Water Assets on new and existing AirTrunk networks, including all control and metering systems.
- Travel across APAC sites as required.
Minimum requirements:
- Strong and effective communicator with the ability to confidently negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on a professional level.
- Strong and effective collaborator with internal and external teams and stakeholders,
- Track record of successfully managing the development and delivery of large infrastructure programs/projects
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and mentoring high performing teams,
- Well organised and effective manager to manage workload to meet deadlines
- At least 7 years of Extensive Water infrastructure delivery experience with a developer, utility, consulting or contracting environment
- Experience working with authorities and Water Utilities.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, problem solving, risk and time management deliverables.
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen
- Available to travel throughout Asia-Pacific;
Preferred requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills to review supply agreements and oversee procurement and delivery efforts
- Commercial and cost management experience and ability to analyse cost benefit when considering development strategy
- Previous experience working in Asia-Pacific including Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office including Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD and PowerPoint
