The Role:

AirWorks is looking for a Vice President of Product to join our leadership team and drive our product vision, strategy, and execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Product is responsible for evaluating the "AI-only" product, identifying gaps and market opportunities, and evolving it into a comprehensive solution that meets customer needs and broadens our market presence. In this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts, working closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to align initiatives with strategic goals. You will define success metrics, prioritize initiatives, and ensure data-driven decision-making across all product activities. This role is pivotal in fostering a high-performing product team and scaling AirWorks’ offerings to maintain its leadership in automated mapping.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define marketing business targets together with CRO and executive team.
  • Define and communicate the long-term product vision, ensuring alignment with AirWorks’ business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Evaluate the current products to identify limitations and opportunities for improvement and market expansion especially for AirWorks’ “AI-only” product.
  • Develop and prioritize a product roadmap using data-driven insights, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and resources, while advocating for technical requirements.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to create cohesive go-to-market strategies that maximize customer engagement and adoption.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, including user engagement, retention, and satisfaction, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Act as a customer advocate, integrating their needs and feedback into product decisions.
  • Represent AirWorks as a thought leader at industry events, contributing to our reputation as an innovator in automated mapping.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in product management, with 5 years in a product leadership capacity. You have demonstrated success in scaling B2B software products for enterprise customers, with a particular focus on AI/ML-driven solutions. You are adept at data-driven decision-making, market sizing, customer engagement and have experience leveraging analytics to guide strategy and measure product performance. You have demonstrated experience in being responsible for product and product strategy including exposure to executive teams and board of directors.

A strong communicator and collaborator, you excel at aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals. Externally, you have experience working with customers to identify and understand pain points and opportunities and distill them into a clear product vision. Internally, you have experience working closely with engineering teams, balancing technical trade-offs with business priorities. You are experienced in levering the modern product tool stack including AI solutions. Your leadership style promotes inclusivity, ownership, and a relentless focus on delivering value to customers.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • MBA at top tier institution
  • Experience in top tier top-tier strategy consulting
  • Experience in the geospatial industry, either degree or professional experience.
  • Professional athlete, military, or experience in highly competitive professional environments
  • Experience with data science/ML/AI products, construction, and geospatial
  • Experience with offshore software development teams
  • Boston based

Additional Details:

  • The position is full-time
  • AirWorks operates under a hybrid work policy, with attendance in the office located in Boston, MA on Tuesday – Thursday for Boston based employees.
  • This role is open to remote but Boston preferred

  • Compensation will be comprised of base salary + bonus + equity
