Full-Time Schedule (~42 hours per week)

Flexibility of 8, 10, or 11-hour shifts between the below hours:

  • Monday 8am-7pm
  • Tuesday 7am-8pm
  • Wednesday 8am-10pm
  • Thursday 7am-7pm
  • Friday 8am-3pm
  • Sunday 9am-5pm

 

Position Overview

  • Conduct Comprehensive Patient Health Assessments: Conduct patient health assessments to include patients’ height, weight, blood pressure, medical problems, allergies, reactions, and prescribed medications.
  • Diagnose Intraoral & Extra-Oral Conditions: Diagnose patients’ intraoral and extra-oral conditions including existing caries, endodontic pathology, periodontal condition, prosthetic needs, and any soft tissue abnormalities.
  • Develop and Execute Treatment Plans: Treatment plan necessary work for patients, ensuring they receive the required dental care tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide Routine Dental Treatments: Provide the necessary routine dental treatment for patients under your care, including amalgam restorations, aesthetic composite restorations, routine root canal therapy, routine extractions, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning, and pedodontic care.
  • Supervise Dental Assistants: Exercise direct supervision of the assigned/designated dental assistants, ensuring efficient and effective team performance.
  • Offer Professional Consultation: Provide professional consultation to other staff dentists when needed, supporting their practice and patient care.
  • Participate in Dental Provider Meetings: Attend dental provider meetings and participate in case study discussions, contributing to collaborative learning and patient care improvement.
  • Adapt and Excel in Diverse Assignments: Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director/Practice Manager, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to delivering high-quality dental care across all aspects of service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Dental school
  • A current New York State license
  • Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software
  • Experience with Dexis digital radiographs

Pay & Benefits:

  • $100-120 per hour, commensurate with experience.
