Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and their families, primarily via telephone communication, following established standards and practices. Key responsibilities include:
· Coordinating with other members of the Women's Health Team to ensure seamless care delivery.
· Performing telephone triage and educating patients about their healthcare.
· Following up with patients newly diagnosed with chronic diseases, discussing lab results, medications, and additional support needs.
· Conducting (I-STOP/PMP) Prescription Monitoring Program checks for all controlled medications.
· Performing cardiac stress tests and providing results to the Women's Health Team.
· Assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures as needed, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and immunizations.
· Documenting all care provided in eClinicalWorks (EMR).
· Adhering to Aizer Health’s medical protocols, policies, and procedures.
· Acting as a patient advocate and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
· Demonstrating flexibility in work scheduling and assignment changes.
· Maintaining a positive attitude and demonstrating empathy to build strong patient relationships.
· Performing additional assignments and projects as needed.
Qualifications
· Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed/registered as an RN in New York State.
· CPR certification required.
· Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
· Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred.
· Strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to take initiative.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to medical staff and patients.
- Compensation: $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
