Work Hours:
- Monday and Wednesday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Sundays 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Position Overview:
- Patient-Centered Care: Contribute to patient-centered care by ensuring accurate and timely processing of laboratory specimens. Meticulously handle and document specimen information to support diagnostic testing and patient health assessments. Attention to detail in specimen processing helps healthcare providers make informed decisions for patient care.
- Empower Patient Wellness: Support patient wellness by maintaining high standards of specimen handling and processing. By ensuring the integrity and accuracy of laboratory results, plays a crucial role in providing reliable information that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The commitment to quality in lab processing promotes positive health outcomes for patients.
- Facilitate Coordination and Communication: As a key member of the laboratory team, facilitate efficient coordination of specimen collection, processing, and testing. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of results. Clear communication and coordination help streamline patient care and enhance overall healthcare efficiency.
- Excellence in Clinical Practice: Perform lab processing duties with precision, following established protocols and procedures to maintain accuracy and reliability of results. Have the ability to handle various types of specimens and utilize laboratory equipment effectively contributes to the high standards of clinical practice. Collaboration with laboratory colleagues ensures comprehensive support for diagnostic testing and patient care needs.
- Maintain Clinical Standards: Uphold stringent standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality control in the laboratory environment. Adhere to protocols for specimen handling, storage, and disposal to maintain the integrity of laboratory operations. By maintaining these standards, contribute to a safe and compliant laboratory setting that prioritizes patient and staff well-being.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a strong ability to work independently as well as an effective team member.
- Must display strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to all medical staff.
- Must have excellent ability to analyze test results, computer generated reports, etc., including superior follow up skills and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and remain flexible in adjusting to changing conditions within the clinical/laboratory operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical laboratory experience a plus
- Knowledge of EHR or EMR strongly preferred.
- Phlebotomy Experience
Pay & Benefits:
- $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
