Work Hours:
Alternating Sundays and Fridays, 8 AM - 5 PM; 2 days a week, 8:30 AM - 5 PM; and 2 days a week, 11:30 AM - 8 PM.
Position Overview:
As a Patient Navigator, you will serve as the welcoming face of Aizer, ensuring every patient has a smooth and efficient experience from the moment they enter. The patient navigator will be responsible for greeting and checking in patients and managing check-in systems. This is a key role that requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to providing exceptional service.
- Patient Check-In: Greet patients warmly and check them in by updating their status in Aizer’s electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks), turning their status color to green to indicate arrival.
- Patient Flow: Direct patients to their respective departments, ensuring they reach their destination promptly and without delay.
- Kiosk and Screen Management: Oversee and maintain check-in kiosks screens, assisting patients with their use and troubleshooting as needed.
- Lobby Oversight: Maintain an orderly, welcoming environment in the reception area, ensuring patients are comfortable and directed appropriately.
- Patient Communication: Address patient inquiries with professionalism, clarity, and empathy.
- Provider Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Personable: A friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills. Anticipates patient needs and addresses them efficiently.
- Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a smooth workflow in a busy environment. Ensures accuracy in patient status.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using electronic systems such as electronic health systems and managing check-in kiosks.
- Calm Under Pressure: Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment and ensures that patients feel supported and heard.
- Team-Oriented: Works collaboratively to ensure a positive patient experience.
Pay and Benefits:
- $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
