Location:
Melbourne, Cremorne or Sydney, CBD. We're open to a hybrid working style; spend time in the office and at home.  

The role:

At it's core, this is a creative marketing role. This is an opportunity for someone to reveal Akaysha's identity to the world - ensuring we are seen, and that our our voice is heard - with impact and thoughtfulness. 
You'll launch our new identity externally and internally, to receptive audiences on both sides of the fence. You'll create content with a focus on social media channels and our website, alongside event coordination whilst overseeing the management of PR releases and the development and maintenance of our broader brand strategy. Importantly, you'll act as a guardian of Akaysha's brand and tone. 

Key responsibilities will include:

Brand Strategy & Guidelines Management:
Develop, maintain, and update Akaysha's brand strategy and guidelines.
Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all communications and marketing materials.
Monitor brand integrity across all internal and external touchpoints.
Support ELT and leadership team with the creation and polish of presentations

Content Development:
Create, curate, and manage content for use across various platforms including internally, the company website, LinkedIn, and other social media channels.
Develop engaging and relevant content that aligns with Akaysha's brand strategy and business objectives.
Engage and manage agencies to support the development of video content where required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content ideas and ensure messaging aligns with corporate goals.

Website & Social Media Management:
Oversee the management and regular updates of Akaysha's website to ensure it is current and reflective of the brand.
Manage Akaysha's social media channels, with a primary focus on LinkedIn, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Work with development agency to support the integration of key platforms into Akaysha's website.
Track, analyse and report on website and social media metrics to inform content strategy and improve engagement.

External Stakeholder Event Coordination:
Work closely with the GM of Policy, Regulation & Government Relations and the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute external stakeholder events
Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, invitations, and on-the-day management.
Ensure all events align with Akaysha’s brand and business objectives, and effectively communicate key messages to stakeholders.

External conferences:
Create and maintain a schedule of relevant conferences for Akaysha to attend and secure sponsorship, speaking opportunities or other relevant participation.
Coordinate attendance at relevant conferences by Akaysha employees
Promote opportunities to attend conferences as part of employees Professional Development budget.

Media & PR
Manage Akaysha's PR calendar and write first draft of media releases with support from GM, Policy, Regulation & Gov Relations, Community Engagement Manager & ELT as appropriate
Coordinate approvals of media releases (both internally and with partners)
Manage PR agency to support the distribution and publication of media releases. 

What you'll bring:

  • Proficiency in Adobe / Microsoft Suite (high level of competency required in Adobe and PowerPoint) / Scheduling tools
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining brand strategies and ensuring consistent application across all channels.
  • Strong content creation and curation skills, with experience in digital platforms and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in managing websites and social media channels, especially LinkedIn, with a focus on engagement and performance tracking.
  • Experience in planning and executing external stakeholder events, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with executive leadership, external partners, and agencies.
