As the OT Network Engineer, you’ll be entrusted with designing, implementing, and managing robust network solutions for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), operating across a sophisticated hybrid landscape that brings together Azure and AWS cloud platforms with on-premises OT/ICS environments. Your technical vision and hands-on skills will enable seamless integration and optimization of high-performance networks—from edge systems, firewalls, and VPNs to advanced monitoring tools—delivering security, reliability, and end-to-end visibility for every operational site. 

Drawing on deep expertise in ICS protocols, cloud connectivity, and security frameworks, you’ll collaborate closely with operations, security teams, and external partners to ensure resilient, scalable connectivity across mission-critical assets. Your proactive approach will enable robust network protection and high availability, supporting real-time operations and future-proofing infrastructure as our portfolio grows. 

You’ll have the opportunity to optimize hybrid network solutions that directly advance the transition to sustainable energy—integrating cloud platforms with OT/ICS systems, and ensuring connectivity, protection, and reliability for operational sites. 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Serve as the OT subject matter expert overseeing network architecture, management, and security across all operational environments, including BOP, BESS, and multi-cloud platforms (AWS & Azure). 

• Design, configure, and maintain hybrid networks; implement VLANs, network segmentation, and firewall policies to enable secure, efficient integration between cloud and on-premises systems. 

• Develop and manage robust network solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), supporting high-performance integration of edge systems, firewalls, VPNs, and advanced monitoring tools. 

• Troubleshoot issues across all OSI layers, lead incident response and root cause analysis, and provide 24/7 on-call support for critical incidents to maintain business continuity. 

• Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including high- and low-level designs, IP schemas, diagrams, and change control records, ensuring compliance and best practices. 

• Apply technical vision and hands-on skills to optimize network architecture and performance, drawing on deep expertise in ICS protocols, cloud connectivity, and security frameworks. 

• Collaborate with operations, security teams, and external partners to ensure resilient, scalable connectivity and reliable communication across mission-critical assets. 

• Proactively implement network protection strategies and maintain high availability, supporting real-time operations and future-proofing infrastructure as the portfolio expands. 

What you’ll bring: 

• Hybrid Network Management: Skilled in building and running secure, reliable hybrid networks across Azure, AWS, and OT/ICS environments. 
• Industrial & Networking Protocols: Experienced with Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, Turbo Chain, REP, RSTP/STP, VRRP, and BGP for secure, efficient operations. 
• Routing, Switching & Firewalls: Expert at designing, configuring, and troubleshooting routing, switching, and firewall controls on Palo Alto and Cisco platforms. 
• Network Troubleshooting: Proficient in diagnosing network issues using tools like Wireshark for fast problem resolution. 
• Network Monitoring: Hands-on with tools like Zabbix, Nozomi Vantage, and MXView for proactive network health monitoring. 
• Compliance Alignment: Experienced in applying OT/IT security frameworks like IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and AESCSF to ensure compliance.
