Staff Product Manager, Scope AI

Los Angeles, CA

Akido is rebuilding the healthcare experience from the ground up. Through early interventions designed around social determinants of health (SDoH), world-class care focused on chronic disease, and human-centered technology, we believe we can build a healthcare model that allows for all patients to live their fullest lives. We are a fast-growing, impact-focused, Y Combinator company created out of the University of Southern California’s D-Health Lab with the idea that empowering government, healthcare, and nonprofit services with population-based data could help usher in a new era of preventive public health. Today we are building a full stack medical network that leverages our predictive capabilities to provide a frictionless experience for both our patients and care providers.

The Opportunity
Join our team and help reinventing clinical care through AI. In 2024, our Product team released Scope into our medical network, introducing in-person visits with our specialists powered by AI. As we expand Scope’s capabilities to additional chronic disease management specialties, primary care, street medicine, and case management, we're looking for a product leader to help shape the future of AI in healthcare. This is your chance to define how artificial intelligence transforms the clinical experience, solve access bottlenecks, and addresses the provider shortage in America. You'll work across our custom-built EMR and Care Management Platform to create a cohesive, AI-first experience. This role reports directly to the CTO, Co-founder.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product management for Scope AI while maintaining oversight and consistency across Scope, Akido Chart (our EMR), and our Care Management Platform
  • Partner with a dedicated engineering team and shared design resources to ship features that solve meaningful problems for patients and providers
  • Lead in-person product discovery and usability testing with physicians, MAs, and care teams across our network
  • Collaborate closely with our agent architects to define new AI capabilities and continuously improve agent performance, accuracy, and usefulness in clinical settings
  • Define and drive the roadmap for how we embed AI into high-impact workflows in primary care, complex care, and community-based medicine
  • Lead UX design for the AI-powered clinic experience, mapping new workflows and co-designing intuitive, AI-first interactions
  • Translate complex clinical problems into elegant product solutions through mockups, specs, acceptance criteria, and agile delivery practices
  • Support sprints, QA, releases, and ongoing iteration in collaboration with engineering, clinical operations, and analytics
  • Contribute to company-wide strategy on AI-enabled healthcare delivery, working directly with the CTO

What You Have

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare technology or clinical operations
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ship impactful features in fast-paced, high-complexity environments
  • Experience designing or supporting AI-powered software or agent-based systems (or deep curiosity and ability to learn fast)
  • Strong UX instincts and experience owning product discovery through delivery
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially working directly with clinicians and technical stakeholders
  • Preferred: experience with EMRs, medical operations, or care management platforms

Salary range

$200,000 - $225,000 USD
