Executive Assistant
Akido is rebuilding the healthcare experience from the ground up. Through early interventions designed around social determinants of health (SDoH), world-class care focused on chronic disease, and human-centered technology, we believe we can build a healthcare model that allows for all patients to live their fullest lives. We are a fast-growing, impact-focused, Y Combinator company created out of the University of Southern California’s D-Health Lab with the idea that empowering government, healthcare, and nonprofit services with population-based data could help usher in a new era of preventive public health. Today we are building a full stack medical network that leverages our predictive capabilities to provide a frictionless experience for both our patients and care providers.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support our founders with a combination of professional and personal responsibilities. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is instrumental in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, prioritizing executive time, and supporting both business and personal tasks that allow leadership to operate at peak efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and wants to play a critical role in the success of a growing organization.
What you’ll do
- Manage complex executive calendars, including scheduling meetings, prioritizing requests, and resolving conflicts.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transport, and detailed itineraries.
- Act as a gatekeeper by managing communications, prioritizing emails, and handling inquiries with discretion.
- Support personal tasks such as household management, appointments, errands, car searches/purchases, and family-related coordination.
- Oversee logistics for moving rental properties and liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Manage operations for the downtown LA corporate office, including facilities, vendors, supplies, and workspace logistics.
- Organize and execute events, dinners, and offsite meetings to ensure seamless logistics.
- Maintain expense reports, credit card reconciliations, and purchase tracking for both business and personal accounts.
- Handle highly confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Anticipate executive needs, proactively solving issues before they arise.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar high-level support role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable balancing both professional and personal tasks.
- Able to manage competing priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- (Preferred) Experience supporting C-level executives in a high-growth company.
- (Preferred) Event planning and project coordination experience.

Salary range
$80,000 - $100,000 USD
