Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer (or closely related occupation) architecting and building highly performant and resilient applications in multi-Cloud platforms using Go and AWS.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer (or closely related occupation) architecting and building highly performant and resilient applications in multi-Cloud platforms using Go and AWS.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) architecting, designing, and developing secure, high-performance APIs, microservices, and web-based applications for fintech platforms and authentication systems using back-end technologies Golang, Java and Python; applying RESTful principles and implementing industry-standard security controls; and performing request parsing, validation, and transformation to ensure reliable, scalable, and seamless integration between front-end and distributed back-end systems.
- DE implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Git or Bitbucket, including building, testing, and deploying automated workflows; defining and enforcing unit and integration testing thresholds; and integrating quality and security gates through Sonar Cloud and Snyk to perform static code analysis, measure code coverage, and conduct proactive vulnerability scanning prior to promotion to higher environments.
- DE designing and optimizing SQL and NoSQL queries to support caching, scalable CRUD operations across database platforms including Redis, and PostgreSQL or DynamoDB; and executing performance benchmarking, query tuning, and capacity analysis to ensure consistent, low-latency access to data under high-throughput and heavy load conditions.
- DE maintaining and scaling containerized application platforms using Docker and Kubernetes, including performance monitoring, horizontal and vertical scaling, and high availability; defining cloud infrastructure and security best practices across AWS services -- EC2, ECR, EKS, RDS, and S3; and using Datadog to monitor, analyze, and optimize software performance across external-facing applications and internal back-end microservices.
