If you enjoy turning complex electrical systems into precise, buildable models, this is an opportunity to play a critical role in how projects get delivered. As an Electrical BIM Designer / VDC Modeler, you will help bring designs to life through advanced 3D modeling, coordination, and constructability planning. You will work alongside engineers, project managers, and field teams to create highly detailed models that improve efficiency, reduce conflicts, and support successful project execution. What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit for a variety of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Model electrical systems including conduit routing, cable tray systems, duct banks, switchgear, lighting, and related components.
- Produce installation drawings, shop drawings, and prefabrication-ready details to support field execution.
- Participate in clash detection and coordination efforts using Navisworks or similar tools to resolve issues before construction begins.
- Partner with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure models reflect real-world constructability and project requirements.
- Manage modeling schedules, priorities, and deliverables while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and detail.
Who You Are
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in electrical 3D modeling using Autodesk Revit.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and installation sequencing.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively across multiple active projects and deadlines.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, error-free deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience in the electrical trade such as apprentice, journeyman electrician, or field installation support.
- Experience using Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
- Familiarity with Trimble Field Points or similar layout technology.
- Experience supporting prefabrication workflows or shop production environments.
- Exposure to mission-critical, industrial, utility, or large-scale commercial projects.
